Our Banners are Coming to a Library Near You!

An update on our banners ‘tour’ – they are now visiting the libraries in the borough!

First stop is Great Boughton Library, Vicars Cross where we would like to thank the fabulous Pam Dunley (team leader) and Matt Smith (locality librarian, Chester area) for their help this morning, erecting and finding the prime spot for the hangings. There will be a timetable of the library ‘tour’ coming soon. Additionally most of the libraries will have a permanent smaller ‘string’ of messages which were handed over today.

When you visit the libraries look for the proudly displayed ‘we stand with people seeking sanctuary’ window stickers and remember to ask to see the ‘stories of sanctuary’ listings.

In further banner news we have a third, new hanging made from the amazing messages of welcome we received this year during ‘Refugee Week’ and Chester ‘Pride’. This one, so far, has been to the Crossroads Community Hub – again many thanks to the staff there for their assistance and agreeing to show the hanging.
