Yesterday (17th June 2024) we went to our first Chester Pride event. Aside from the food, entertainment and great atmosphere there was also a ‘health and well-being’ tent where we set up our stall.
We had information, a quiz….and stickers!
Additionally we invited visitors to write a message of welcome or solidarity to those seeking sanctuary and add it to our ‘tree’. The enthusiasm was amazing, we had queues waiting to add a message and the tree grew…

The messages were beautiful, so positive and heartfelt.
In our three and a half hour visit 336 messages were added.
Thank you Chester Pride, you did us all proud!
Off now to turn some of these into a hanging to join our others touring round the city.
