Congratulations to Cheshire West and Cheshire Libraries who today (24/8/23) received a ‘Library of Sanctuary Award’.

The libraries were assessed and we are very pleased our Chairman could present the award at Lache library – together with a copy of the first magazine of sanctuary, ‘The Other Side of Hope’. Receiving the award are Helen Neal, Equality and Diversity lead for the Library Service and Pam Dunley Team Leader for the Chester Service.

Those seeking sanctuary can expect a warm welcomed to the the libraries across the region and the important services they provide.

The Service holds ‘Stories of Sanctuary’ a curated book collection to raise awareness, helping readers understand the situations of those looking for safety. Call in and borrow a book.
