Mosaic ‘scarf’ at Chester Cathedral in aid of female education in Afghanistan

Part of a worldwide awareness raising event, the UK ‘scarf’ will be on display at Chester Cathedral. This is a mosaic display, 4.8m wide and 1.8m high made by both professional artists and Afghan women in the UK in a display of solidarity with the woman of Afghanistan. The scarf will be in the cathedral from mid-Feb to mid-March and will be present on March 15th when  the day will be dedicated to raising funds for Unicef for woman and girls education in Afghanistan –  full details to be announced.

Update: there will be talks in the Cathedral, on the 15th, between 1.30 and 3.30pm
